An original lithographic poster advertising the beers, wines and spirits of the Brasserie Arnould Mochez, Onnaing (Nord). Designed by Le Clercq and printed by Affiches Grau, Lille in June 1930, the composition features a medieval-costumed figure tilting back a foaming glass against a dramatic black ground — bold typography in orange and red completing a composition that is immediately eye-catching and thoroughly of its era.
The Brasserie Arnould Mochez was a regional northern French brewery celebrated for its bières de garde — the long-matured lager-style beers typical of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais tradition. A rare piece of regional brewing history.
This piece is sold unframed, carefully rolled and shipped in a rigid tube to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
