A self-taught artist from the Valsesia region, Arnaldo Musati turned to commercial poster work in the years immediately following WWII — a period of reconstruction whose generous, optimistic energy floods his palette.
After settling in Aosta, he became the visual voice of the valley's winter resorts, producing celebrated series for Cervinia, La Thuile, Cogne, and Pila. His signature motif — women with arms raised in joy, embodying the spirit of newfound freedom — appears here in the form of a smiling shepherdess in traditional dress, tending her goats against flower-dotted meadows and mountain peaks.
One of the finest examples of his work for the Conca di Pila resort.
